Andersen Gliding patio doors connect your living space to the backyard with expansive glass and an effortless glide. Modern stainless steel rollers and tracks make even large panels easy to move, and Low-E insulated glass keeps the space comfortable.

They’re a bright, space-saving alternative to swing doors — nothing projects into the room.

Security glass

Most home break-ins occur
in the back of the house.

A patio door is mostly glass, and the back of a house is where nobody is watching. Laminated security glass does not stop that — it makes it slow, loud and visible, because the pane stays in the frame after it breaks.

How laminated glass works
Tempered glass after the blow A patio door frame with no glass left in it. The pane has gone completely, leaving the opening clear, with a drift of small blunt granules heaped along the sill — deepest directly under the point of impact — and more thrown clear onto the floor outside the frame.
Tempered
Laminated glass after the same blow The same patio door frame, struck in the same place. The pane is cracked right through in a web radiating from the impact point, but every fragment is still held by the interlayer, the pane is still in the frame, and the opening is still closed. Nothing has fallen to the floor.

The Andersen
Gliding Patio Doors We Offer

These are the Andersen gliding doors we install. The differences that matter are less about looks than about what the frame is made of, how wide an opening it will span, and how much choice you get in color and hardware.
